Program Announced

Mark your calendar for this year’s Children’s Health Today Conference on November 4 to 5, 2022 at UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver!

You’ll want to attend this upcoming conference which is presented through a partnership between BC Pediatric Society and the BC Children’s Hospital.

Every year, the BC Pediatric Society partners with a different specialty from BC Children’s Hospital. This year, we are thrilled to be working with the Division of Infectious Disease – what could be more fitting having just endured 2 years of an ongoing global pandemic.

Day 1, Friday, November 4, will cover presentations on a variety of subjects that are at the forefront of every pediatrician’s mind. From how the gut microbiome affects asthma to the changing landscape of eating disorders, we will have over 9 presentations that have been hand-picked as the top issues affecting today’s youth.

Day 2, Saturday, November 5, will focus on pediatric infectious diseases. From panels on fevers and vaccines to what to do when prenatal care is limited, and an approach to perinatal infections. There will be over 11 presentations from various specialists wanting to share their expert knowledge with you.

CME Accreditation
This event has been approved by the Canadian Paediatric Society for a maximum of 11.75 credit hours as an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The specific opinions and content of this event are not necessarily those of the CPS, and are the responsibility of the organizer(s) alone.

Below please find a preliminary program, which is updated as new details become available.

All attendees at the Children’s Health Today Conference are requested to wear masks at the conference, except when eating or drinking.

Need a Hotel Room in Vancouver?

The BCPS does not book a block of hotel rooms because if we don’t fill them, we would have to pay for them.  We recommend that you consult both the PHSA and Doctors of BC websites as we know both of these institutions do offer discounted hotel rooms for their members.
